VCON 42 is proud to start our rollout of guests with our Author Guest of Honour, Charles Stross!

In keeping with our theme of the British Influence on Science Fiction, we have enticed him to temporarily give up his home in the UK (rain and all) to enjoy the (hopefully) better weather here in Vancouver!

Charles “Charlie” Stross is an award-winning British writer of science fiction, Lovecraftian horror, and fantasy. He is the Author of 29 novels (and counting) and innumerable articles and short stories. Best known for The Laundry Files and the Merchant Princes series, he has won 3 Locus Awards, and 3 Hugo Awards!

    True, but he was born in Leeds, England, so still British. 🙂

    I was blessed to meet him personally a long time ago. It wouldn’t surprise me if a common friend made it as a character into at least one of his books 🙂

      That’s true! He had several monsters included in the AD&D Fiend Folio.
