The Convention Committee (ConCom for short) are the volunteers who give their time and efforts towards organizing the VCON convention each year.

Position	Name	Details
Chair	Danielle Stephens	The VCON Chair is the top-dog, our high pooh-bah, the person where the buck does in fact stop. The VCON Chair is our fearless leader who keeps us pointed in the right direction, and constantly urges, encourages and supports the rest of us to do our very best.
Vice-Chair	Pauline Walsh	VCON Vice-Chair is the VCON Chair's top assistant, taking on some of the tasks the Chair needs to get done and filling in when the sitting Chair is unavailable.
Advertising Coordinator	Greg Cairns	The Advertising Coordinator is in charge of working with outside parties that would like to advertise with VCON. This is the person to contact if you would like to advertise in the program book or put flyers in our registration packet.
Archivist & Elron Awards Coordinator	Graeme Cameron	The archivist retains a library of VCON materials and artefacts such as program books and flyers going back as far as VCON 1 in 1971. If you have any VCON related artefacts you'd like to donate or have questions about the history of VCON please contact the archivist.
Art Show Director	Rose Wilson Assistant: Lynne Taylor Fahnestalk	Contact the Art Show Director if you are an artist who would like to show your work in the convention or if you have any questions or suggestions about the Art Show.
Dealer Liaison	Jeff Currey	Contact the Dealer Liaison if you have questions about the Dealers Room or the Artists Alley, including how to register to run a table.
Elron Awards Coordinator	Graeme Cameron	The Elron Awards (a VCON tradition) are awarded each year to some of the most... interesting... fiction published in science fiction and fantasy and the most... astonishing... discoveries in science over the past year. Fan Groups Liaison & Social Events Coordinator	{open position. email is monitored.} We are currently looking for a full-time Fan Groups Liaison & Social Events Coordinator for this year's convention. If you would like to volunteer for this or another open position please contact us using the VCON ConCom Open Position Queries category on our Contact Form, specifying the position you are interested in.	The Fan Groups Liaison & Social Events Coordinator is responsible for liaising with the groups, non-profits and other amateur organizations who want to have some official presence at VCON. This is the person to contact if you have questions about the fan groups that attend VCON or if you have a fan club, non-profit or other amateur organization and would like to have a presence at VCON. They are also the head VCON party animal and who you should contact if you're interested in hosting or going to room parties and other social events at the convention.
Games Coordinator	Jenni Merrifield	The Games Coordinator is in charge of organizing and managing the VCON Games Room. Contact the Games Coordinator if you would like to sponsor a gaming event or if have any gaming questions, comments, or requests.
Guest of Honour Liaison	{open position. email is monitored.} This year, the GoH Liaison role has been divided among several other ConCom positions. However, we will be looking for a full-time GoH Liaison for next year's convention. If you would like to volunteer for this or another open position please contact us using the VCON ConCom Open Position Queriess category on our Contact Form, specifying the position you are interested in.	The Guest of Honour Liaison is responsible for working with the Guests of Honour who will be attending VCON and arranging and coordinating the details related to their travel to and stay in Vancouver.
Hospitality Coordinator	Susan Walsh	VCON is renowned for its Hospitality Suite (also known as the ConSuite), where people can relax, chat, and have a drink and a snack between panels. Contact the Hospitality Coordinator if you have questions, comments or suggestions for this year's Hospitality Suite. If you would like to volunteer for this (or any other) extremely important duty please contact the VCON Volunteer Coordinator using the VCON Volunteer Oportunities category on our Contact Form, specifying any skills you have to offer or areas of the convention where would be interested in assisting.
Hotel Liaison	{recently filled position. email is monitored.}	The Hotel Liaison is responsible for coordinating locations and activities at the venue where VCON is held. If you have any questions relating to accomodations and amenities at the hotel, contact the Hotel Liaison.
KidCon Coordinator	Andrew Brechin Assistant: Adrian Estergard	Got kids? Bringing them to VCON? Wondering how on earth you could possibly keep them occupied the whole time you are at the convention? That's what the KidCon program is for! If you have any specific questions or concerns about KidCon, touch bases with the KidCon Coordinator!
Masquerade Director	Marcella Tiggerwerth	The Masquerade is one of the highlights of VCON. If you have questions, comments or suggestions about this year's Masquerade, contact the Masquerade Director.
Media Relations Liaison	Johanne Cordeau	The Media Liaison's domain is all about getting VCON good press coverage. Want to interview someone? Writing a news article about the convention? Require someone for a radio or TV appearances? This is the person to talk to.
Operations Manager	Chris Ravenwood	What would we do without Ops? This is the person who keeps things functioning as smoothly as possible throughout the three days of the convention. Ops manages and monitors the radios that keep the ConCom in touch with each other and helps make sure everything we need is where it should be and is all in good working order. Programming Coordinator	Pauline Walsh	VCON has always been noted for the quality of its programming. Right from its very first convention, VCON has maintained a tradition of "literate appreciation rather than fascinated adulation". Contact the Programming Coordinator if you have questions about or suggestions for panels and other programming events at this year's convention.
Publications Coordinator	Garth Spencer	The Publications Coordinator is in charge of all the printed or published material that VCON creates such as the program book, the pocket program, and ConCom progress reports. This is the person to contact if you have ad artwork to put in the program book or are looking for posters, flyers and similar material.
Publicity Coordinator	{open position. email is monitored.} Assistant: Russ Quick We are currently looking for a full-time Publicity Coordinator for this year's convention. If you would like to volunteer for this or another open position please contact us using the VCON ConCom Open Position Queriess category on our Contact Form, specifying the positions you are interested in.	Want to help publicise VCON, such as by putting up posters and handing out flyers? We need help at fan tables at other cons & parades, too. Contact the publicity coordinator to help out.
Registrar	Ron Merrifield	The Registrar is responsible for all aspects of pre- and on site registration. This person helps coordinate all the information and minutia required to get each VCON member registered and outfitted with all the merchandice and event tickets that they have purchased. Contact the VCON Registrar with questions or issues about membership options and rates, or any issues with online registration.
Tech Coordinator	{open position. email is monitored.} We are currently looking for a full-time Tech Coordinator for this year's convention. If you would like to volunteer for this or another open position please contact us using the VCON ConCom Open Position Queries category on our Contact Form, specifying the positions you are interested in.	One of the VCON Gophers because we tell her to "Go fer this" and "Go fer that," the Tech Coordinator is responsible for handling all Audio/Visual/Digital equipment and any other requirements VCON has of an electronics or technical nature.
Transportation Coordinator	{open position. email is monitored.} We are currently looking for a full-time Transportation Coordinator for this year's convention. If you would like to volunteer for this or another open position please contact us using the VCON ConCom Open Position Queries category on our Contact Form, specifying the positions you are interested in.	One of the VCON Gophers because we tell him to "Go fer this" and "Go fer that," the Transportation Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for getting stuff we have stored at point A picked up and moved to point B. It can also involve Guest of Honour chauffeur duties
Treasurer	Kathleen Moore-Freeman	Money, money, money! The treasurer handles all the precious money that comes in and goes out. Contact the Treasurer if you have any questions or concerns related to VCON finances or if you would like to make a monetary donation to assist with VCON operations.
Volunteers Coordinator	Richard Walters	Would you like to volunteer at VCON this year? Whether you're showing guests to their panel rooms or lugging kegs up from the truck, we'd greatly appreciate your help. In fact, we'll appreciate you so much that we'll stuff your pockets with swag just for being a volunteer!
